College of Engineering is one of the Colleges of University/Warith Al-Anbiyaa University, with its five departments (Civil Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Engineering of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technologies, Petroleum and Gas Engineering, and Aviation Engineering), is concerned with the preparation and training of students for various engineering professions and with high field efficiency. One of these important activities is organizing the First International Conference of Engineering Sciences that will be held in Karbala/Iraq on April 17-18, 2024.

ISGS

The Iraqi Scientific Geotechnical Society (ISGS) came into existence in 2001, founded by a cadre of pioneering Iraqi academics and seasoned engineers with extensive expertise in the domain of geotechnical engineering. As a prominent entity in the field, the society proudly holds active membership within the International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGE), actively engaging in international conferences and high-level summit meetings convened by the ISSMGE. ISGS serves as a dynamic platform for scholars and practitioners immersed in the intricate realm of geotechnical engineering. Its mission revolves around unraveling the complexities of soil behavior and addressing issues pertaining to the stability and sustainability of structures situated on various soil types. In the wake of its establishment, ISGS has orchestrated numerous symposiums and workshops, each meticulously crafted to advance the core objectives of the society. Notably, one of its significant undertakings is the meticulous organization of the Fourth International Conference on Geotechnical Engineering-Iraq, scheduled to unfold in Karbala, Iraq, on April 17-18, 2024.

It also ranked #393 in the QS World University Rankings and #523 in the Best Global Universities Rankings by U.S. News & World Report. Within the realm of engineering science, SPBPU demonstrated its excellence by securing a prominent ranking of 175 according to the esteemed Times Higher Education (THE) for the year 2024. This ranking reflects the institution's unwavering commitment to advancing knowledge, fostering innovation, and upholding a standard of excellence in both research and education.
